The drama ends after five seasons.
January 6, 2015
It is being reported that USA Network has cancelled Covert Affairs after its fifth season, which concluded last month. The spy drama's falling ratings are said to be the primary reason behind the move, with Season 5 hitting series low ratings and averaging 1.5 million viewers. For comparison, Covert Affair's first season averaged 5 million viewers.

First, who still has cable? Second, other than episode one, the latest season was never available on Hulu for us poor/cheap schmucks. Sorry, but unless it is Sports, appointment TV is dead (zombies are dead).

I'm sad but not shocked after the strange direction in which they took the show this last season.

Oh shoot! This was one of my favorite shows. Well, that's the way it is, I guess. :(

the show was great. It's last two seasons were weaker. IF they had stayed with the CIA fighting terrorists you would have had a great show. but Hollywood , can't handle it. we must have bad americans , season 4, and then season five , was very hard to follow. it was a Russian spy who wanted to kill people who killed his brother. but at the same time annie , now has a heart problem. it just lost it. I watched it all. but Hollywood should learn from this. we want spies to fight our enemies. not each other.

I used to love this show, it was one of my favorites, then it got stupid. I hate to admit it, because I loved the characters and the chemistry between them. Then I'm not sure what happened, the writing flipped somehow. Every season Auggie had a new love of his life that got away, including Annie. Either they should have kept them platonic or they should have allowed their relationship to continue. It just got complicated, stupid storylines and just alot of the same stupidness just with different faces. But the the first 3 seasons were the best.

I am surprised....I truly thought they had cancelled this show two years back. I removed it from DVR rotation. Now imagine my surprise to find out there was a season four and five? From what I read above, it seems I did not miss much by missing the last two seasons>

I wanted to like this show but the characters just did too many things that were "way too stupid for any person" much less a spy.
Add in that in all books by former spies, one of the things they all mention is being able to change their appearance. In CA, Annie Walker would be sought after yet never do even something basic like donning a wig. Plus always in stilettos?
Some of the interpersonal stuff (Joan - Arthur) was excellent but overall they dropped the ball with this show.

It took Perabo three seasons to get that "who farted?" expression off her face. It wandered without direction and, by the time they finally started to find one, it was too late.

The first 3 seasons were the best, then it started to get convoluted and I just gave up. So sad to hear that it ended on a cliffhanger!! That is the biggest slap in the face to loyal watchers (phew, I feel like I dodged a bullett becaue I would have been MAD with no closer!!)
