Reign Renewed For Season 3

The sophomore drama will return in the fall.

The CW announced today that Reign has been renewed for a third season. The period drama is one of the network's lower-rated series but has amassed a decent fan base that keeps its ratings fairly steady from week to week.

Along with Reign, The CW also announced renewals for The Originals, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, The 100, Jane the Virgin, The Flash, and Arrow.

thank goodness you didnt cancel Reign..so very little good shows left to watch anymore..love this one...

Ahem... Historically speaking, the show is well into the reign of Francis (he took the throne at 16 and ruled for about 18 months). Mary did leave France and returned to Scotland, her rule was never all that solid (regents had all the power.) She was forced to abdicate to her 1 year old son (again leaving the regents in power.) Eventually she turns to Queen Elizabeth (of England) for protection. Elizabeth, following her father's (Henry VIII) example keeps her more or less under house arrest for around 20 years but in the end has her executed for treason. As for Conde, he does wind up ruling, and is helped by of all people Catherine De Medici... It will be interesting to see how the script writer's and show runner's manage season three with a story (nearly) complete as far as Francis & Mary goes.

I can not wait for this season. Will she be going to England to claim her crown? The suspense is killing me.

Thanks CW for renewing one of the best shows running!!! I Love This Show it's awesome!! I am such a huge fan!!! I own season 1 on both Digital & DVD & I have a season pass for season 2! I've watched them so many times that I know every word! This show is awesome & I hope there are many more seasons to come for I would be sad to see it go!!!!
