No third season for the fantasy drama.

The BBC has confirmed that Atlantis has been cancelled after two seasons. The British broadcaster cited a need to increase the range of its dramas as the reason for not ordering a third season of the fantasy drama.
The seven remaining episodes in Season 2 have yet to air, and are slated for a return in the spring.

I really enjoyed Atlantis. It was funny and good for the
whole family. Guess it didn't show enough sex. Not much
left for me on BBC.

I will miss Atlantis. I agree season 1 was better but there are so few shows like this on TV. :(

Very disappointed. My mom is 83 and she always looked forward to us watching it as a family. Not too many shows that are left like that. Dramas are good but not always for a mixed crowd. We're bummed.

this show was fun. But Like I said , they don't have that many sci fi or horror shows left. they had many series over the last 15 years though. In fact BBC America didn't show several good sci fi miniseries in the last few years. They did show 'demons' a itv show though. it only lasted on series. They didn't show 'the deep' or 'day of the triffids' or 'the sarah jane adventures' (sci fi got the last one though). It wasn't up there with Game of Thrones but it was a nice show to watch on a Saturday night.But they keep the reality crap on.

I agree that the first season was much better than the first and that the second season would have done well as a later season maybe. But it was a fun show. I think its interesting that it was cancelled to create a wider range for their dramas when there is almost no other sci fi/fantasy show on the network. I guess what they mean is they need to create more range in their police dramas. Oh well. C'est la vie.

another show bites the dust it was a great show funny and something you could sit around with your children and watch and it was great bit of fantasy to take you away from boredom of everyday life.
