The drama will not return for Season 5.
March 13, 2015
The CW is saying good-bye to Hart of Dixie, cancelling the drama after four seasons. Ahead of its upcoming fourth-season finale on March 27, show creator Leila Gerstein issued a series of Tweets indicating that the show was into its final episodes and re-assuring fans of a "tremendously satisfying" finale. Show star Scott Porter also took to Twitter more recently and confirmed the cancellation.
Observers likely saw the end of Hart of Dixie coming when The CW announced last summer that Season 4 would be only 10 episodes in length rather than the 22 of its first three seasons. The bright side, at least, is that fans will be getting a proper series finale rather than be left mid-storyline, as many shows often are.

I think it is too bad they are cancelling Heart of Dixie. With the other shows on CW that of absolutely no interest to me, I no longer have a reason to tune into CW.

I hope for a proper season finale! This was always a show I looked forward to, when I heard it moved to Friday night death slot of 8-9pm, I knew it was seeing its final days! Everything is resolving nicely, hopefully they do it well.

With so much violence on TV, it was nice to have some sweetness to look forward to.

Devastated that another of my favorite shows will not return i still think it had life in it, the show was quirky and yes a lot of good banter just like gilmore girls.
The season hasnt started in australia yet im so looking forward to the show coming back on. i will have the tissues ready for the last episode ever.

Loved this show. Sad to see it go, but it is time. Loved all the characters and the silliness. What I also loved about this show is that it was all done on the same town square as Gilmore Girls. The Gazebo, Lukes Diner - all there.
Kudos to the CW for allowing the show to wrap up - letting the writers and producers bring the show to a proper conclusion. I will stick with CW shows for this reason. Other networks will not communicate an impending cancellation to a production company and allow a show to end on a cliff hanger. This shows little to no respect for the audience - it's the network giving the finger to a small but loyal following. Not so with the CW. Thanks for a great show - I look forward to checking out your other shows now!

The cancellation is understandable - one of the lowest rated shows for the network, but in the upper half of the shows for the CW for cost.
The business decision to cancel the show short of the 88 episode number for syndication is bad planning, though. CW could easily have leased this off to CMT or TVland or the like for the next few years to make a few more ducats off of it.

Liked the show for a few seasons, but got stupid and boring this past season. Watched 5 to 10 minutes of season premiere and was bored. Liked the cast, boring storyline

I love Hart of Dixie but I saw this coming. I could tell they were winding down the show. With Zoey's pregnancy at the beginning of the season I just knew this season would be the last. I love the characters of the show but the storylines were getting worn out. I'm sad to see this show go but I know that we will get a happy ending to this show. I will miss Bluebell.

I will be sorry to see this show go, though I did feel the story line was suffering a bit this current season so I cannot say I am surprised. Disappointed for sure, but not surprised.

I've been thinking for a couple of weeks that it was finishing up with the way everyone's storylines were pointing to a happy ending. Just need Zoe to make up with the Wilkes and all will be good. But why cancelled and not concluded if it's going to have a proper ending?? I will miss this show, It's good, fun, light entertainment.
