The new comedy will return for Season 2.
May 11, 2015
CBS has renewed The Odd Couple for a second season. The midseason comedy, which is the latest screen production of the original 1965 play, has been a solid new entry for the network, faring well in its Thursday night time slot.

Yeah, I agree with Firefox Pete above. That annoys me that they show the two Empire State Buildings in obviously different locations. There's only one! Pick a spot and move on!

Let me start with I watched the movie and the 70's show and I love this show as well. I see the mix comments and that is normal. In this day and age the networks cant think of new actual shows if it isn't reality show where there is no or too much acting. I love all the characters on this show. I love Matthew Perry and hate that both of his last shows were canceled especially Going On. I for one am happy to see The Odd Couple was renewed. These networks are too quick cancel new shows especially the comedies. The world is so damn depressing I look forward to a little laughter when I get home.

I watched all the episodes on a flight coming back from Italy. Funny and I thought that Thomas Lennon (Felix) is very talented. His delivery is very good. Matthew Perry's line delivery is not very good at all, not natural. Thomas Lennon brings a lot to this role and should get nominated for an award!

Funny show. I love the original Odd Couple but this is almost as good. Real funny at times and crisp but so so at others. Anyway, a thumbs up from me.

Matthew Perry still looks lonely to me.

Love it, what a refreshing comedy. Can't wait for season 2.

Having seen the movie with Walter Mathau and the Jack Klugman-Tony Randall series, this remake takes a back seat. Just not as funny. Also, I know the location of their apartment is fictitious but the scenes don't make sense. From inside the apartment you see the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building way off in the distance. But when they show the apartment building from a worm's eye exterior view, the Empire State Building is looming directly above the apartment building like it's a block away. If you put them at 1049 Park Avenue (original series location) neither scene makes sense.

This show is NOT a remake of the 1970s version. It's only based on that premise... or really the movie premise (yes there was a movie first). Clearly if you ever watch the 1970s version you'd know that half the jokes were eluding to Felix being gay without actually stating it (because you couldn't then). Today... that's not a basis for jokes, so they've watered much of the laughter down. And really, the 1970s version WAS funny, this new version is really a drag. The main characters aren't funny at all, it's the supporting cast (the women) who actually pull this show along.

This show is not funny! It's just a remake of the old
Odd Couple show from years ago! I love Matthew Perry but
not in this show. Mr. Sunshine and Go On was hilarious!

This show sucks monkey nuts. Its not funny, not well acted, not unique and feels like some generic cookie cutter sitcom from the 80s or 90's. Perry is phoning in his performance. He is doing this for money NOT because he believes in this show.
Very hard to believe this show was renewed based on its ratings.
