No Season 2 for the new comedy.
May 15, 2015
Fox has cancelled Weird Loners after one season. The freshman comedy premiered in late March for a short six-episode season but failed to attract an audience. Its ratings among adults 18-49 ranked as the lowest for a prime time series on one of the Big 4 broadcast networks.

I hated the show Happy Endings and it seems I was justified. EVERY actor who has been on a show since the cancellation (it lasted too long anyway and was the worst of three similar shows at the time) has either stunk up the screen themselves or been in a show/ensemble that failed to resonate.
Casey Wilson, Marry Me: check.
Adam Pally, New Girl" check. (At least he got kicked off the show.)
Elisha Cuthbert, One Big Happy: check.
And now Zachary Knighton.
The ONLY passable comic actor in that group is Damon Wayans Jr and he was good on New Girl.
This show will neither be mourned nor missed. Good riddance.

When a show sucks from the start it doesn't take that many episodes to figure it out. You can tell from the first two episodes how good a show is going to be.

Wow that thing lasted the 6 episodes needed to be considered "given a chance." I guess Fox gave it one.
What fox didn't do was select a show that was any different from the scores of other shows that get canned after a season. The people were not "weird" but hipster or quirky. Come on fox take a chance on a show.

Fox definitively gave the show a chance, no rational person would say they didn't. Everybody knows that while 8 was enough in the 80's six is enough now. The chart proves that people just didn't care for it. If more people were "finding it" the chart would vary, not drop.

Tip to sitcom producers... QUIT forcing your writers into writing the exact same jokes for every show you produce. Producers may find they get long-lasting hit shows if they stopped pigeonholing writers in the same old tired used jokes. This show was no different... same jokes different faces, that's all.

Typical of Fox. I don't understand why they BOTHER putting comedies on like this when they never give them a chance to build an audience.
If the 'executives' in charge of programing today were around when Fox was still new they would've canceled Married with children AND the Simpsons before they built an audience too. And then fox wouldn't EXIST. The only plus I see to that alternate universe is there would also be no Fox "news".....
