TV Land has cancelled The Exes after four seasons. The news broke last night from star Kristen Johnston, who posted on Twitter that the comedy's next six episodes will be its last.
The long-running series is latest TV Land comedy to come to a close. Hot in Cleveland aired its finale in June, and The Soul Man is set to end after its upcoming fifth season.
The series finale of The Exes will air on September 16.
Well, it's official: LAST 6 eps of @The_Exes EVER start airing this Weds. Even great ratings can't #SaveGoodTV.

I will miss this one. The Eden character is the hottest girl in show biz and the big amazon (Holy) is hilarious. The three guys have that odd couple humor turned into a trio. I think they should have kept the show and cancelled the writers. You knew they were running out of ideas when Holy married herself.

This was the only TV Show that I watched regularly. I think Donald Faison is very funny. I think this is the best sitcom since King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond. It would be nice if one of the other cable networks picked it up so that it could have a 5th season.

Watched it once - never understood how it got past the pilot. Multi camera "setcoms" can be funny when they are well written and fresh. This show just looked entirely dependent upon caricature comedy where overacting and a laugh-track set the pace. buh-bye...

Every time Kristen johnston comes on screen with "newman" I keep wondering if this is the scene where she spits in his eyes and he goes blind.

When Holly married herself last year, I knew the end was near.

I love this show! TV Land has its priorities screwed up. They would rather put on trash like Jim Gaffigan, Impastor and Younger. Good luck with those. I for one will not be watching.

Finally. This show did feel like it was written by taking old setups out of a hat and trying to make a show. Look multi camera show stopped winning emmy's a decade ago. The public grew up and realized that they aren't funny. Even CBS is getting rid of them. Slowly but surely.

This was a given. TvLand is getting rid of the lazy multi-camera "setcoms" that have become antiquated. In this day and age you can't just throw something on and expect people to watch. networks need to take the effort to put on quality programs. Not lazy random cliche tv shows. Their new shows just prove how with a little effort you can make it look like you care about the audience and are not just phoning it in.
