The drama will end after Season 3.
August 31, 2015
CBS announced today that Under the Dome will be coming to an end after its current third season. The sci-fi drama, which is based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, will soon conclude a successful run that saw it emerge as a breakout summer hit in 2013. While ratings did taper off each season, it remained as one TV's most-watched summer shows.
The series finale of Under the Dome will air on Thursday, September 10, with the network promising that the dome will come down and its mysterious origins will be revealed.

FINALLY! They should've left it as a mini-series, concluding after the first season. It got more and more ridiculous as it went on.
Greed seemingly forced them to extend it.

I'm not shocked about this happening. A story line this only has so much life. At least it sounds like it will be more or less finalized. One thing that I hate is a show getting cancelled and leaving you with so many unanswered questions.
