The John Stamos comedy gets more episodes.
October 28, 2015
Fox announced late today that Grandfathered has been picked up for a full season. The network has issued a back-nine order for the show, topping up its original 13 episodes to 22.
The freshman comedy is off to a decent start through its first four episodes, airing Tuesdays at 8:00pm ahead of The Grinder, which was given a full season pickup just yesterday.

Falls Short. The baby seems like a prop. The script has lots of potential but I don't feel a bond between the cast members. Basically, the whole cast is there to support Stamos. He does not seem to have a connection with the baby which is surprising since Stamos has stated in numerous interviews he wants to date children of his own. I enjoyed the tender relationship Stamos had with the Olsen twins on Full House. He has not recreated that here. I do not see how they can come up with too many more clever episodes of this storyline

correction....meant Peck's total lack of sophistication....

I can't even tell you why I like this show, I just do. Maybe it's because it's a sweet comedy, and not too cerebral. Maybe it's because of Stamos' sweet way with the baby. Maybe it's because of Brewster's frustration with Stamos. Maybe it's because of Peck's total lack of unsophistication but loyal dedication to his daughter, and his daughter's Mother.
Whatever it is I just like it.

Glad to hear. Goes to show it's hard to know what networks base their decision off of. I was a little turned off after John Stamos DUI. I hope he took that seriously because it was great to see him on tv but I don't support drunk drivers!

It's funny, but I can't imagine this lasting very long. There's only so many scenarios they can play out.

.... time slot filler... it's a pretty horrible show. Josh Peck can't act to save his life.. and it's just a bad role for Stamos. The ONLY bright spots are the ladies... Brewster and Milian... but they are bit characters.

I actually found this comedy show funnier than The Grinder, which was unexpected. Once you get past the mid-life crisis cliché, which isn't overly dwelt upon, there is a sweet and funny family dynamic that comes through. I look forward to watching this show and like the cast!

Of course one of the worst shows this season gets to keep going.
