No Season 2 for the action drama.
December 15, 2015
TNT has cancelled Agent X after just one season. The freshman action drama, which starred Sharon Stone as the Vice President, has been plagued by low ratings since its premiere last month. Through seven episodes it has averaged roughly 1 million viewers.
Agent X has three episodes remaining which will air as planned, with an episode this coming Sunday followed by two back-to-back episodes on December 27 to conclude the series.

I liked this show. It was entertaining and the characters were well played. I agree though that Sharon Stone will never win an Oscar but sorry to see the rest of the cast move on.

Being a producer just means you paid (in part) for the production. Or you are going to be paid by returns from the finished product to offset lower initial up front payments. "Producers" really don't all do actual work. It's a credit..... often negotiated as part of compensation.

I personally found this show entertaining. It's not supposed to be non-fiction, it is for entertainment ONLY. Sharon Stone is not only an actress, she was also one of the executive producers of this show. So in her defense for those who are trashing her profession, she does do more in her field other than act. And, if she was soooo bad why is it that those of you who are dissing her know so much about her work. I guess I'm not the only one watching her shows. I hope another network picks up Agent X.

I'm a little surprised this is canceled. There are much worse stuff getting renewed or continued. I liked the concept and the cast. It was original in a world of crime dramas and sitcoms. I had hopes for this one and i will watch any remaining episodes that are aired.

Sharon Stone has NEVER been a good actress. She was okay in Alan Quartermain and then Total Recall a few years later.. then gained news by showing her vagina in Basic Instinct a year or two later. Then she faded into obscurity only to get a supporting role in Casino which did well in spite of her. She's really done NOTHING of merit since Casino in the early 90s (that's 20 years folks). She's just one of those actresses that everyone acts like they have some sort of profound talent or inherent value. The truth of the matter is Stone has ALWAYS been a "b-movie' actress that had a couple minor successes in the late 80s DUE TO HER APPEARANCE when she was younger and only ever made a name for herself by showing off body parts on film. She's like that stray dog that keeps hanging around.... eventually you get used to seeing it and thinking it's okay and will do well around you and your family... then it eats your baby because it is a stray dog after all. To put this actress as the Vice President of the United States was just a VERY POOR casting choice. Add to that the clichéd writing of this series and it's no wonder it did not survive. This is an instance where the folks with the money weren't looking at things logically and honestly and were perhaps fooled by this fake celebrity Stone has.

Glad this show is gone.
Sharron Stone ruined it for me.
I only watched 2 or 3 episodes and that was it. I couldn't handle it anymore.

Thanks for the heads up. I will delete all DVR'd episodes and cancel future recordings. Why waste my time.

Any show with Sharon Stone as the Vice President is doomed. Even the USA is not insane enough to have Sharon Stone as the VP.

The pilot was pretty bad and goofy and so no wonder a lot of people didn't continue to watch. I did and the show definitely got better. I think it's far better than Quantico and would love to see where it would go. But the folks that based their opinion of the show after the first episode understandably didn't give it a second chance.
