The crime drama picks up two more seasons.
July 19, 2016
Starz announced today that Power has been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5. The drama premiered its third season this past Sunday, where it garnered an impressive 2.26 million Live + Same Day viewers - a new record for the show.
That number not only ranks as a series high, but also tops any Starz original series ever. The rise in viewership coincides with the cable network moving the show from Saturdays to Sundays this season in order to compete with higher-profile shows from other networks.
Look for Power to return with Season 4 in 2017 and Season 5 in 2018.

I quit watching this for one simple reason... I HATE how Starz reduces credits to unreadable sizes so they can throw in their own advertising for the show you just watched. It's stupid and It shows zero respect for the medium they are selling and the customers viewing it. I PAY for their channel, or at least I did until they started this HORRIBLE practice. Starz is the only pay-to-view movie channel that is doing this... and they do it on ALL their channels (includes Encore, MoviePlex, RetroPlex, etc) and only started this in June or July of 2016. I wish someone would beat the person over the head repeatedly who approved this change.

Someone get this man a thesaurus! 😄 Hahaha. Kidding. Well, I'm sorry that's how you feel. That belief is is really painting you into a corner and keeping you from being able to enjoy some truly great content that's out there. But if that's how you feel, then there's nothing anyone can do about it. I hope you come around someday, but until then, enjoy re-watching The Wire I guess.

Don't care, still stereotypical and it's going to CONTINUE to be stereotypical and we can go on and on and on, but my views will never change. And I don't care how successful the show is, how long it's gonna last, or whatever else you're gonna say. STEREOTYPICAL.

@z Actually, subtracting my reply to your post and a correction I made to one of mine, my comment was actually one of three prior to your remarks, so I'm not sure how mine count for the majority. Regarding your reply: You say that because Ghost is a black drug dealer that wants to leave his 'bad circle' and be with a Latin girl (I don't know what a Latin Becky is) the show is stereotypical. I find it troublesome that half of your deciding factors here are pretty racist.

Us ?? "Steven" sweetheart, most of the comments on here are yours. Ghost=black man, drug drealer, leaves wife and kids for a latin becky, hurts/kills people, now wants to leave the "bad circle." STEROTYPICAL. I don't care if it's a "drama" show. It's a rip-off of The Wire. If Empire is horrible, then Power's right along with it. Both shows are embarrassing.

z: Ah. Well considering the two programs are completely different, would you mind sharing your educated opinion about what makes Power so "stereotypical" with the rest of us?
Keep in mind that as a television drama, it's purpose is to portray certain elements of society, people, life, business, crime, love, etc. in a dramatic fashion. That's kinda the whole idea.

Steven, who gives a damn? They're both stereotypical shows and you idiots buy into it.

Correction: Empire premiered Jan 2015 and Power premiered June 2014. So one could say that Empire is a poorly conceived and terribly executed ripoff of Power....one could say. 😆

I've been watching this since the beginning and I knew from the pilot that it was definitely something unique. The irony was that it premiered at the same time as that garbage "empire" and while everyone was falling all over themselves to shower that trash with praise, Power was cruising by in the background, being awesome as ****. It's nice to see it finally getting the recognition it deserves. It should have been a network powerhouse from the beginning.
