The summer drama will return in 2017.
August 10, 2016
CBS announced today that Zoo has been renewed for a third season. The man vs beast thriller has continued its run as a steady summer performer in its sophomore season, garnering higher ratings than the network's freshman entries American Gothic and BrainDead. With the future of the latter two shows still up in the air, Zoo could be the only returning summer scripted series from the eye network.
Look for Season 3 of Zoo in summer 2017. The Season 2 finale is scheduled to air on September 6.

This is good news. It's a good sci fi show with great actors. Thank goodness a sci fi show is making it this far. But then 'under the dome' lasted 3 years as well. Braindead" is actually a good show. It's part comedy , part sci fi. I hope it comes back , but they already switched it to Sunday nights.

Glad a show like this even made it past season 1. It's interesting it has some flaws for sure but it must be pulling in some good ratings to even get past a season 1. Shows like this don't normally last so good to see the ratings up there.
