CBS announced today that Zoo has been renewed for a third season. The man vs beast thriller has continued its run as a steady summer performer in its sophomore season, garnering higher ratings than the network's freshman entries American Gothic and BrainDead. With the future of the latter two shows still up in the air, Zoo could be the only returning summer scripted series from the eye network.
Look for Season 3 of Zoo in summer 2017. The Season 2 finale is scheduled to air on September 6.

I like the Jamie character. She's the non science person. the end of season two was intriguing. SO we at least get a third season to enjoy this good show.

LOve this show! From comments I might be in the minority but I actually liked the 2nd season MUCH better than I did the first which I thought was kind of "draggy". I'm very happy its coming back for a third season

I like the series a lot but I agree with others Jamie should have been the one to be killed off not Chloe. Jamie is just all around bad she can't act and servers no purpose to the team at all other than making things worse.

They killed off the wrong character, they should have killed off Jamie, the incredibly annoying and irritating, yet amazingly stupid reporter who serves no purpose whatsoever on this team. I am not sure I can even finish watching Season 2, its getting so bad.

I stopped watching when they killed off Chloe. I've had just about enough of these creatively challenged show-runners who keep trying to drive a story by killing off central characters.

1st series was ok but the 2nd just seems to keep getting more out there, should have done 1 series and left it.

This is a great entertaining show. Im glad it was renewed, very different concept.
