The fantasy drama's upcoming season will be its last.
August 29, 2016
NBC announced today that Grimm will be ending after Season 6. The veteran supernatural drama has been a solid performer over the course of its run, developing a devoted fan base that brought consistent ratings to its Friday night time slot.
While never a breakout hit, Grimm found a nice little niche to settle into that kept it on the air for over 100 episodes. The show ranks as the network's second-longest-running series currently on the air after Law & Order: SVU, which is well ahead at 18 seasons.
Grimm will be returning for its sixth and final season on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8:00pm. Season 6 will be shorter than the typical 22 episodes it tallied in Seasons 1 through 5, with an order of 13 episodes to conclude the series. In the show's final stretch, fans can look forward to the long-awaited showdown between Nick and Captain Renard.

Really am sad to see that Grime has been cancelled. This net work needs better programming! Grimm was one of the best reasons to watch this network! I like Chicago fire ,an it's spin off. Will really miss Grimm!

NBC has been committing fiduciary suicide in a number of ways. In the perceived integrity of there news program, and in their choice of TV programming, and in other ways. This is just one more example. It won't be long before the advertisers leave, and NBC goes bankrupt. I won't miss them!

I hate reading Grimm being compared to Law & Order (which I love, also). They are two different types of shows. Grimm couldn't have played its self into a corner. I can see how the show could have many spin offs as did Law & Order which has another one coming out. So I ask again...why is it being discontinued ???

If the networks ever took this website serious they would see that there are some devout fans to some of the shows out there. This is one of those Supernaturals that is truly enjoyable. Why would they cancel it? The ratings for the most part have been consistent. Not so much as what they would consider profitable, but it is a steady viewer base. If they continue to do this kind of business, people will stop all together with investing their time and interest in shows they air. Simply because why would they get involved only to get it yanked half way into a good story line. They have better make the ending epic if they want me to consider any future shows. NBC is falling to the curbside with all their cancellations as of late.

Talk about some B.S. This is one of the best shows on TV. Ive never been into supernatural shows but this one sucked me in. There is so much more they can do with this show. Seems they always want to take off the really great shows.

I love Grimm. Not sure if the writers just want to wind it up or they truly don't want it anymore. Maybe Netflix would pick it up? That would be a great place for it. Or the Syfy channel?

I am so sad to see this show is getting cancelled I've been watching this show sense the beginning. Love every season. It is a lot shows that they need to cancelled but not this one. They need to cancelled Once Upon a Time I know it is on a different network but they both came out at the same time.
