The fantasy drama's upcoming season will be its last.
August 29, 2016
NBC announced today that Grimm will be ending after Season 6. The veteran supernatural drama has been a solid performer over the course of its run, developing a devoted fan base that brought consistent ratings to its Friday night time slot.
While never a breakout hit, Grimm found a nice little niche to settle into that kept it on the air for over 100 episodes. The show ranks as the network's second-longest-running series currently on the air after Law & Order: SVU, which is well ahead at 18 seasons.
Grimm will be returning for its sixth and final season on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8:00pm. Season 6 will be shorter than the typical 22 episodes it tallied in Seasons 1 through 5, with an order of 13 episodes to conclude the series. In the show's final stretch, fans can look forward to the long-awaited showdown between Nick and Captain Renard.

About damn time Grimm cancelled! It sucked and NBC need to bring Keeping Up With The Kardashians over to their network to take Grimm's spot!

By the way, if commercial television goes away, sponsors will go away.

As much as I enjoyed the show, it's run its course. The last two or three seasons it was clear they were making it up as they went along. Plot lines with Juliette becoming a witch, a shadow organization fighting against the wesen, and so on, made no sense.
