The fantasy drama's upcoming season will be its last.
August 29, 2016
NBC announced today that Grimm will be ending after Season 6. The veteran supernatural drama has been a solid performer over the course of its run, developing a devoted fan base that brought consistent ratings to its Friday night time slot.
While never a breakout hit, Grimm found a nice little niche to settle into that kept it on the air for over 100 episodes. The show ranks as the network's second-longest-running series currently on the air after Law & Order: SVU, which is well ahead at 18 seasons.
Grimm will be returning for its sixth and final season on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8:00pm. Season 6 will be shorter than the typical 22 episodes it tallied in Seasons 1 through 5, with an order of 13 episodes to conclude the series. In the show's final stretch, fans can look forward to the long-awaited showdown between Nick and Captain Renard.

Great show, Great cast, Great stories, will be missed, so glad it will have a chance to go out on a high note and not just have the plug pulled like so many good shows get, wished it was getting a full season but we'll take it.

Well that sucks......wifey and I were instantly hooked
from the first episode so very sad to see it go but at
least it's advance notice so looking forward to a good ending rather than a cliffhanger.

Sad to see it go but at least the show will get a proper ending instead of leaving us with cliffhangers and a middle finger like the rest of them do.

Disappointed that it's ending, the seasons wre getting darker and darker. But with Juliet maybe getting her feelings back is just a yo-yo. The ratings hadn't dropped much, but maybe it's the writers wanting to end on a strong note or the actors wishing to move on.
