The fantasy drama's upcoming season will be its last.
August 29, 2016
NBC announced today that Grimm will be ending after Season 6. The veteran supernatural drama has been a solid performer over the course of its run, developing a devoted fan base that brought consistent ratings to its Friday night time slot.
While never a breakout hit, Grimm found a nice little niche to settle into that kept it on the air for over 100 episodes. The show ranks as the network's second-longest-running series currently on the air after Law & Order: SVU, which is well ahead at 18 seasons.
Grimm will be returning for its sixth and final season on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8:00pm. Season 6 will be shorter than the typical 22 episodes it tallied in Seasons 1 through 5, with an order of 13 episodes to conclude the series. In the show's final stretch, fans can look forward to the long-awaited showdown between Nick and Captain Renard.

Shorten and cancel Grimm? Why? So more dumb reality shows can be placed on TV? Amazing decision NBC.

I love this show. What does it say about NBC when a 6 season show is their 2nd longest running show!

Too bad. It was such a decent show, no nudity no gruesome stuff no bad language and it has a bunch of good actors.

If I was Pope I would get rid of the tv. Nothing is ever up to his "standards"He hasn't been the same since they got rid of Honey Boo Boo.

Too bad, but expected. This show like many other shows that started out great fell victim to writers that set up scenarios so convoluted and outlandish (even for a fantasy show like this one) along with "super criminals" that it becomes too painful to watch.

I have enjoyed this show and truly appreciate that NBC is actually going to carry through with a series finally versus just dropping it. In the very beginning I was not sure about it but it really grew on me and the cast and show quality were very good. It might not have been everyone's "cup of tea" but I am glad I stuck with it.
