The new drama is capped at 13 episodes.

The CW announced its winter schedule today, which includes a January 25 season finale date for Frequency. This confirms that the network has decided not to order any additional episodes for the show's first season.
The freshman drama premiered in early October but failed to generate much interest in its 9:00pm time slot following Arrow on Wednesday nights, losing roughly half of its lead-in viewership. The show's soft ratings resulted in no back order, which likely means it will not be returning for Season 2.
There may be a small glimmer of hope, though. As part of a new deal with Netflix, Frequency will be available on the streaming service eight days after its season finale on The CW. With the network not yet officially cancelling the show, it is speculated that another season could be in the cards if it performs well on Netflix.

I'll watch anything with Peyton List. She is drop dead gorgeous. I DVR everything and have only seen the pilot. Seems pretty good.

Had my doubts from the previews. Checked it out anyway. Now I love it. I agree that the story line is limited. Not sure how they'd carry on and keep it interesting. Hope they answer my questions before it's canceled. Really hate it when things are left unanswered!!!

I don't know if Netflix (or any other streaming service) ever takes over a series and pays for original content (to continue it), but if and when they do, that show would be as good as gone for me.

It's an ok to good show, too soon to cancel. The lead actress is plenty good (so's the dad) and the storyline (despite that anything related to manipulating time is a cheap gimmick) is enough different from other shows to be thankful in this day of copy everything. Of course it's a near exact copy of the movie, but you can't count that against it. The limitation with it is that it's plot seems self-limiting - it may only work for so long and then it may need to wrap up. Perhaps that was in a plan anyway. Otherwise, it would need a new twist and more regular characters brought it. So adding just a few episodes might be tough. I would not be surprised to see it get picked up later, but I'm definitely not betting on it given how much ratings more often matter.

loved the movie and I really like this show - it is just a little slow moving though, and the problem is its kind of hard to expand much more although I hope they can figure out a way to make something happen!

This is a show that has no future. But in fact it got better each week. It's worth watching even if it's doomed.

Tried 2 episodes... gave up. Just didn't feel invested and didn't care about ANY of the storyline.. so I stopped wasting my time on it.

Still on the fence about this one. It seems OK, but its super slow, and has been getting a bit boring last few episodes.
