The comedic horror series will return for Season 2.
December 13, 2016
It is being reported that IFC has renewed Stan Against Evil for a second season. The horror-comedy recently wrapped its freshman run, which was by all accounts a successful one for the cable network.
The show's Halloween debut ranks as IFC's top-rated original series premiere this year and one of its most popular launches ever. When factoring in DVR viewing, its audience more than doubled each week over the course of its month-long run.
Stan Against Evil stars John C. McGinley as the disgruntled former sheriff of a small New England town who teams up with the tough new sheriff to fight a plague of unleashed demons that are haunting the town, which happens to be built on the site of a massive 17th century witch burning.
Look for Season 2 of Stan Against Evil in 2017.

This show is funny! It's a good thing they are bringing it back and strangely they showed two episodes a night. That was unusual. But any horror show that stays on is worth watching! Now if only the Exorcist can make it for renewal.

Yes it is like a poor man's version of Evil Dead but it is funny and I'm glad as it's coming back.

Glad to hear it got renewed. I actually enjoyed it. I love Ash vs Evil Dead and while this is pretty much the same thing, I don't have to pay for a premium channel to watch it.

Just watched the first episode of this show last weekend and thought it was incredibly horrible. But a show I actually like was canceled today so what do I know.

I love John C. McGinley... and this was a show to rival Ash vs Evil dead... glad it's coming back.
