It is being reported that TBS has renewed Search Party for a second season. The dark comedy premiered this fall as part of a new strategy by the cable network which saw it release the show's full 10-episode first season over the week of Thanksgiving.
So far the show has received mixed reviews, with each episode having drawn roughly 1.1 million viewers across all platforms. It is bolstered, however, by a strong appeal among millennials under 34 which gives it the youngest and most diverse audience of any other TBS original series.
Search Party follows a young woman who learns that a college acquaintance of hers has gone missing. Despite a personal connection to the girl, she enlists her friends to help investigate the mysterious disappearance. But it isn't very long before the bumbling sleuths become entangled in a plot more sinister than they were prepared for.
Look for Season 2 of Search Party to return with another 10 episodes in summer 2017.

Can't believe this is getting a season 2!! A high school drama club could come up with a better story, better characters, and acting. I made it through 1 episode. This and the alien abduction one were real clunkers on tbs recently imho.

I think it's okay.. but just okay. It helps going into it if you think of the characters like those on You're the Worst or It's Always Sunny... expect them to be selfish and sometimes mean... and it's a bit better.

Every single character is a terrible person. I binge watched the entire season, curious how the mystery ended, but I won't be watching season two.

I've watched a few episodes. I think it's clever and different but I can't really relate to the characters or maybe I just don't like them. I can see how it's doing well with the viewers in their 20's and early 30's though.

The show has some of the most unlikable characters on TV. I watched three episodes and couldn't stomach any more of it.
