It was announced today that HBO Max has picked up Search Party for a fifth season. The good news comes two weeks after the dark comedy wrapped its Season 4 run on the streaming service.
The critically acclaimed series now has two seasons under its belt at its new home on HBO Max since moving there last year. After airing Seasons 1 and 2 on TBS, the show has found new life and a broader audience on the streamer.
Search Party follows a young woman who learns that a college acquaintance of hers has gone missing. Despite a personal connection to the girl, she enlists her friends to help investigate the mysterious disappearance. But it isn't very long before the bumbling sleuths become entangled in a plot more sinister than they were prepared for.
