The new drama will return for Season 2.

Freeform has some good news for fans of its latest drama Beyond. At the cable network's Television Critics Association press tour panel it was announced that the freshman series has been renewed for a second season. The early pickup comes after a strong start that saw the premiere episode garner 1.3 million total viewers.
Premiering just last week, Beyond follows Holden Matthews, a young man who awakens from a 12-year coma to find that he possesses new supernatural abilities that propel him into the middle of a dangerous conspiracy. In a first for the network, all 10 of the show's episodes have already been made available for streaming on its digital platforms. On the cable TV side, new episodes are currently airing Monday nights at 9:00pm.

Thank goodness they put all episodes up at once. I watched the first episode, decided it was probably going nowhere, and looked at the last episode. Yup, not worth watching all the way through.

Btw: I watched it on HULU with no commercials so based on the other posts, that must make 3 places to stream it?

I would have probably watched this show after the season had aired, but I was thrilled they streamed the whole season right away. It allowed people like me who enjoy most shows in blocks to actually watch it right away. I'm guessing their experiment with immediate whole season streaming must have been successful since it was already renewed. I can't wait for season 2!

Beyond is by far my new favorite drama show on television right now. I love how free-form tried to build a fan base by releasing the whole first season on the app and on demand. Beyond has a mystery element to it and I do agree with mat, the finale left a lot left to tell.

Love the show! It's not flawless but I love the mystery vibe it has. The worst thing they could do is cancel it without a great explanation. I am upset the finale left so much open. Come on give us something. #no spoilers. Can't wait till next season!

love this show already watched all 10 episodes. like the idea of making the whole season available. win win for everyone you can binge watch and for the advertisers you can't fast forward the commercials.
