The new drama is pulled from the schedule.
February 24, 2017
After just two weeks on the air, CBS has pulled the plug on its mid-season drama Doubt. The freshman series is the latest starring vehicle for Katherine Heigl, who has yet to find a long-term gig on broadcast television since her 5-year Emmy-winning turn on Grey's Anatomy.
Doubt is a legal drama that starred Heigl as a top attorney who starts to fall for one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of murdering his past girlfriend. Premiering February 15 in the 10:00pm time slot, the series struggled out of the gate with its first two episodes losing in the ratings to both Chicago PD and Match Game by a considerable margin.
With such low viewership, the network opted to cut its losses and has removed the show from its schedule effective immediately. Replacing Doubt next week will be a rerun of Bull. Starting the following Wednesday, March 8, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders will fill CBS' 10:00pm time slot.
As for the unaired episodes of Doubt, it is currently not clear whether they will ever see the light of day. All 13 ordered episodes have already been produced, so it is possible we will see them burnt off at a later date.

Lavern Cox is not the reason Orange is the new black is doing well. Not taking sides here. Just an FYI.

Never saw it... but I can say from the title... and the recent TV trend to take movies and make a (bad) series from it... I figured this had something to do with religion and child abuse... I would have never watched it (and that storyline REALLY doesn't belong on primetime tv) --- But.. guess that's not the premise... seems there was abuse, just not child abuse. Sounds like the execs had to alter things for TV... still reminded me of the movie.

I really like this show and the entire cast. I am just sick of network TV. This show would do well on cable, Netflix, or Amazon.

@Kevin I 100% agree with you Laverne Cox is great. Indeed Heigl is a Jinx I think she would do better on the syfy channel it might be more on her level of quality for her career. At least I think she would last longer there.

Not a great show but I'd rather watch it than reruns of Bull.

Funny, how someone tried to blame this on Laverne Cox, when Laverne Cox has a starring role on Orange is the New Black, and that's is as popular as ever.

Speak for yourself, I happen to love Laverne Cox. She is an amazing and beautiful human being both inside and out. Don't care much for Katherine Heigl after the drama of her Grey's Anatomy departure, but I watched the show just for Laverne Cox.

Aethn if people didn't like or want to watch ridiculousness on tv, MTV's ridiculousness would of been cancelled right away. Hollywood has always pushed the envelope and been progressive. They try to stay new and modern instead of making the same western a million times making people sick of them for life. If you don't like it just watch movies from the 80's and back, easy solution.
P.s. katherin heigl is a jinx
