TV Land announced today that Teachers has been renewed for a third season. The good news comes during a break in the comedy's sophomore run, which is set to resume this fall. The original series has continued to be a healthy performer across its multiple delivery platforms.

Written by and starring members of the Chicago comedy troupe 'The Katydids', Teachers follows a group of elementary school teachers trying to mold young minds, even though their own lives need a lot of work.

The cable network has ordered another supersized run of 20 new episodes for Season 3 of Teachers, which should return in 2018.
