No Season 2 for the dark comedy.
April 28, 2017
It is being reported that MTV has decided against moving forward with any further seasons of Sweet/Vicious. The move does not come as much of a surprise, as the dark comedy's freshman run struggled to find much of an audience over the course of its 10 episodes.
While the show garnered its share of critical praise, it ended up ranking as the cable network's lowest-rated scripted series of the season. Its lack of viewership was cited directly by an MTV spokesperson as the reason for today's cancellation.
Sweet/Vicious was an offbeat action comedy that followed two girls who never really felt like they truly belonged. Deciding to team up as an undercover dynamic duo, the wannabe vigilantes sought to bring justice to those who get away with abuse on their college campus.

Absolutely loved this show, never missed an episode. I can't believe they cancelled it! Morons!

Bub- Don't know what show you were watching. Harris, Tyler and Miles all stood with Jules. So when you say not a "SINGLE man"- you are completely wrong. Seriously, were you stoned when watching? That would explain a lot.

@Mitchel... if a man on this show was *NOT* portrayed as a rapist.. he was portrayed as supporting the coverup or lack of action to help the rapist. It was an extremely anti-male show and had VERY little to do with "women supporting each other". It was about "Getting back at all men" I by NO MEANS think rapists shouldn't be persecuted or punished. They should. But not all men are rapists or sympathetic towards rapists. There was not a SINGLE male character in this series who supported women, stood up for them, helped track down predators, etc. -- you'll ask how I know... I was forced to sit through this series unfortunately.

Extremely disappointed. Agree with comments about other shows that MTV has cancelled. They have great shows and ideas but cancel too soon.

Bub-if you check IMDB, it lists the main characters. Of the 6 main male characters listed, only 1 is a rapist. This was not a show about men being rapists. It was a show about friendships and healing. It was not trying to put men down, but, promote women sticking together and supporting each other. I'm sorry you didn't get that.

This show portrayed all men as rapists. That in itself is reason enough to cancel it. THere's no way a network would air a show which portrayed all women as whores or something equally unsavory.

MTV blew it again! Great show canceled. Thought with a show about female empowerment-MTV would give it a chance. They continue to give up on shows too early. The Tues 10 o'clock period is death. Loved Finding Carter,Awkward-Faking It,Sweet/Vicious. ALL Tues at 10. Throw in Eye Candy-also gone too soon. Let's not forget sister station VH1 canceling Hindsight after a renewal. CRUEL. Guess this network only wants banal reality shows. After the end of Teen Wolf-it's the end of MTV for me.

I never knew the show had bad ratings. Between the critical praise & really liking the show myself, I just assumed they had to be decent. I was very curious to see where Season 2 was going.
