No Season 3 for the Shondaland series.

It is being reported that ABC has cancelled The Catch after two seasons. The sophomore drama, which was produced by TV heavyweight Shonda Rhimes, debuted in early 2016 as a mid-season entry with a lot of buzz attached to it. While it drew modest ratings on Thursday nights, the show never materialized into 'hit' status.
In fact, ahead of Season 2 the show was retooled into more of a romantic comedy, but the move did little to change its fortunes. Despite a fairly good reception from critics, ratings fell ever lower this spring.
Mireille Enos and Peter Krause headlined the series, which followed a top L.A. private investigator who is conned out of millions of dollars by her fiancé. Determined for payback, she sets out on her own private mission to get her money back - and an explanation.

Had a feeling about this, season 1 was fantastic but season 2 probably worst writing, the writers are to be blame, they tried to fill in too much story, and the cons were too easy, unlike season 1, too much was going on, it was too predictable,simple,rushed,cheezy,and also rubbish. The writers of season suck.

Nooooooooooooooo. Here we go again. these bunch of idiots at nbc cancel another good show. yes we have a bunch of morons deciding what we can watch. no wonder not too many people watch tv anymore. Bye nbc i will never watch you again. you should cancel the morons that voted for the shows not to be renewed then you might have some happy people.

ABC seems to do that with shows we like..This was a great show..Reality shows seem to be the norm now. C'mon people. Keep shows that we like in a time where we can enjoy it. You never really gave it a chance. I waited for this show as the characters were great, and the storyline was getting good. WHAT'S NEXT? Another idiotic show that ABc thinks we'll like. Who picks these shows anyway? Give us a break!!

ABC you need to get your collective heads out of your backsides. First you pull the plug on LAST MAN STANDING and now THE CATCH. What are you going to put in their places, more more "reality junk".

Stopped watching this show three or four episodes into the first season. I had really wanted to like it too because I love Peter Krause.
This show sucked so I'm not surprised to see it gone.

I enjoyed the series; lots of effort from the cast with their characters. I read at one site during sweeps month (Feb) that it would likely be cancelled. Happy that awful show Imaginary Mary got canx....guess there's justice out there in TV land.

I will miss this show. I loved Season 1 a lot more--I mean I LOVED IT--but even after they screwed with the formula I wasn't ready to give up on it. Oh well.
