No Season 3 for the Shondaland series.

It is being reported that ABC has cancelled The Catch after two seasons. The sophomore drama, which was produced by TV heavyweight Shonda Rhimes, debuted in early 2016 as a mid-season entry with a lot of buzz attached to it. While it drew modest ratings on Thursday nights, the show never materialized into 'hit' status.
In fact, ahead of Season 2 the show was retooled into more of a romantic comedy, but the move did little to change its fortunes. Despite a fairly good reception from critics, ratings fell ever lower this spring.
Mireille Enos and Peter Krause headlined the series, which followed a top L.A. private investigator who is conned out of millions of dollars by her fiancé. Determined for payback, she sets out on her own private mission to get her money back - and an explanation.

They messed it up when they tried to make it more of a rom-com in the 2nd season. Season 1 was much better.

Can't say I'm too surprised or even disappointed if I'm being honest. I adored the first season of the show, but the second one was just all over the place and seriously lacking. They took everything I loved about season 1 and threw it out the window. I enjoyed the increase in comedy but to say they upped the romance makes no sense, Ben and Alice barely even interacted this year, and their relationship was was one of the biggest reasons I got hooked to this show. The cons, which were so fun in season 1, have been rather dull, with very little element of danger. Aside from Rhys and Ben's dynamic, this season had been a let down, which is really a shame.

Sigh...I literally just added it to my watchlist a few days back. Welp, taking it off...
I have always been a fan of Peter Krause and thought, if it got a season 2 with positive reviews, it is considerably safe for renewal...Nope...

The show was awful honestly. But I still watched it. It was like a train wreck you can't look away from...
