May 11, 2017
It is being reported that Starz has renewed American Gods for a second season. The good news comes less than two weeks after its premiere, which drew a healthy 975,000 viewers - the most ever for an original series premiere on the cable network.
Adapted from the 2001 Neil Gaiman novel, American Gods follows ex-con and widower Shadow Moon, who has his life turned upside down not long after being released from prison. He meets a charismatic con man named Mr. Wednesday, who gives him a job as a bodyguard. Mr. Wednesday, though, is actually an incarnation of the God Odin, who is looking to confront the new Gods, who have been growing stronger. Together, Mr. Wednesday and Shadow Moon begin a journey across America in an attempt to build an army of Old Gods that will battle for power against the New Gods.
Look for Season 2 of American Gods in early 2019.

.. odd show. After 2 episodes it's still unclear what the plot is, if there is one. Seems more like character display, not really a solid story. But we'll see.
