The veteran sitcom will not return for Season 7.

It is being reported that CBS has cancelled 2 Broke Girls after six seasons. Word is the comedy was in contention for a pickup until as late as this afternoon, though negotiations between the network and production company Warner Bros. ultimately broke down.
The diner-based comedy started out as an unlikely breakout hit for CBS when it premiered in 2011, earning the distinction of being the #1 new comedy of the season in both viewers and key demographics. Its dominant ratings eventually tapered off during the later years of its run, though the show maintained a fairly decent-sized audience.
2 Broke Girls aired its now-series finale on April 17, capping a total run of 138 episodes.

Quit watching a few seasons ago when the same "jokes" were repeated over and over. My husband and I thought it'd get cancelled sooner than this.

The humor on this show was getting extremely dull and redundant. Every joke had to do with a celebrity and pop culture, similar to Will & Grace when that show started getting stale. Sad it doesn't get a final season but not surprised it got cancelled.

These girls would not be broke if they just did porn. Plus the show would be better. Who doesnt love a little girl on girl action ?

Wow... its over... finally... this was one of those shows whose jokes were so overtly contrived that one actually felt smarter for not laughing... I can't believe it was actually popular enough to last this long. I tried to watch an episode a couple times and the "hey look at me I think I'm smart for thinking of this joke, but I thought about it too much that it just drags on and on" comedy was terrible. Good riddance.

I still did enjoy this show and I'm sad to see its over... but I do understand that it was getting about time for an ending, the last season was getting a little stretched out... I wish they could've given a little bit nicer series finale where everything was tied up with a bow...

"you guys must have a bunch of idiots deciding what we can watch. this was an AWFUL show and you decide to AIR it. HELLO CBS i will NOW watch you again"
I corrected your statement ACE. You need to check autocorrect before you post.

FINALLY -- Now Beth Behr and Kat Dennings can fade back into obscurity. It's not like they had ANY other jobs during the last decade (for good reason).

It lasted six seasons that is by no means a failure as a series. I would have done at least one more though.

Happy Endings only got 3 season but this trash was still on. Yes different network but still an utter travesty!
