The veteran sitcom will not return for Season 7.

It is being reported that CBS has cancelled 2 Broke Girls after six seasons. Word is the comedy was in contention for a pickup until as late as this afternoon, though negotiations between the network and production company Warner Bros. ultimately broke down.
The diner-based comedy started out as an unlikely breakout hit for CBS when it premiered in 2011, earning the distinction of being the #1 new comedy of the season in both viewers and key demographics. Its dominant ratings eventually tapered off during the later years of its run, though the show maintained a fairly decent-sized audience.
2 Broke Girls aired its now-series finale on April 17, capping a total run of 138 episodes.

Ace had the best reply: you guys must have a bunch of idiots deciding what we can watch...The 6th finale would have been better with both girls becoming engaged.

This show was dreadful from the moment it started. The writing and delivery are so terrible that I can't watch it for more than a few minutes without having to change the channel. I'm just happy that this nonsense is off the air and Kat Dennings can find herself in a project that's actually good.

Thank God! This show was absolutely horrible. I have no clue how it lasted as long as it did. I ttied to watch an episode but couldn't get past the corney one-liners and the annoying laugh track.

My God Ace......calm down. It had a long run. It was never supposed to last this long. Six seasons is a long run! You'll see this show for years in syndication. Haha, it's always funny when people say they will never watch a network again because of a cancelled show.

I'm surprised it lasted this long. The whole purpose of the show was to deliver one-liners, but the writers had no idea what to do with the characters.
And the canned-laugh track was so obvious… It would really have benefited to be filmed in front of a live studio audience.
