The popular franchise loses its latest entry.
May 22, 2017
Word is out this evening that Chicago Justice has been cancelled after its first season. The mid-season legal drama premiered in March as the fourth and most-recent entry in the hit Chicago franchise, but soft ratings on Sunday nights did not make a compelling case for a pickup.
The fourth entry in the franchise, Chicago Justice could have been a case of one too many shows under the same umbrella. Its viewership, while not terrible, was the lowest among its franchise-mates. The remaining three entries - Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med - were all recently renewed for 2017-2018 and will be returning for Season 6, Season 5, and Season 3 respectively.

I couldn't get into it. Since when do the people in the DA's office do that much cop work? I hope the Dawson character goes back to PD

Don't cancel. Great show. Try on another night if ratings weren't high enough, before you cancel. Love this show.

Best of the Chicago shows, hands down, but it never should have been associated with them. Those are fluffy, over the top soap operas and this was a gritty courtroom drama. I can easily understand why some people like the other three and not this one, they had to use their brains here.
If they had just rebooted the Law and Order original show with this show, same actors, scripts, etc., just a different title, it would have been fine and probably popular. Two completely different audiences trying to be forced to like the same things.

I stopped watching after episode 2 or 3 when they decided it was a good idea to make an political statement make the military the bad guy. I knew right them it would be canceled. Take note NBC we don't want your political views !

Here are a few more suggested series: "Chicago Sanitation", "Chicago Parks and Recreation", "Chicago Public Library", and "Chicago Transit". With 3 other "Chicago" shows plastered all over the airwaves, perhaps American viewers are growing weary of Chicago, and want a change of scenery. There are MANY other American cities to exploit. When a cow runs out of milk, only a fool keeps on tugging on it....

WHY? WHY? WHY???? You guys make me mad! You keep all these other stupid, ridiculous shows but cancel the shows that really mean something or actually have a plot. Try another night first.

I still haven't seen the show but I was so excited as I love law dramas. Please don't axe another good show.
