The popular franchise loses its latest entry.
May 22, 2017
Word is out this evening that Chicago Justice has been cancelled after its first season. The mid-season legal drama premiered in March as the fourth and most-recent entry in the hit Chicago franchise, but soft ratings on Sunday nights did not make a compelling case for a pickup.
The fourth entry in the franchise, Chicago Justice could have been a case of one too many shows under the same umbrella. Its viewership, while not terrible, was the lowest among its franchise-mates. The remaining three entries - Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med - were all recently renewed for 2017-2018 and will be returning for Season 6, Season 5, and Season 3 respectively.

The generation of viewers that the sponsors want are the instant gratification generation. With all the social media platforms and all the diff ways viewers can watch like streaming services (sling, Hulu etc) cause fast if not instant cancelation. The idea a show can buildup its viewership is now ridiculous. Everyone watching was pretty much it an it wasn't gonna change. Sunday night also is a brutal night for ratings anyway.

As a fan of fire, PD and med, I found justice very hard to watch and could only drag myself thru 3 episodes. I think it was a case of over saturation, felt the need to watch it rather than the want. Hope Antonio can go back to PD now.

You People suck. It Was a great show with believable storylines. What is wrong with you people?? You get a good series
& get people interested then drop it! How can you expect viewer loyalty.

Wonder if they'll make room for Antonio (Jon Seda) to rejoin Intelligence on P.D.
