A wrap-up special is on the way in 2018.
June 29, 2017
After an outcry following the sudden cancellation of Sense8 earlier this month, Netflix has had a change of heart of sorts, and will be releasing a 2-hour special to wrap up its story. Co-creator Lana Wachowski posted a letter on the show's official Twitter account earlier today, announcing the good news to fans.
With Season 2 of Sense8 ending off with a cliffhanger, the upcoming special - scheduled for sometime in 2018 - will give viewers a better sense of closure after the unexpected move to axe the show, including finding out what happens to Wolfgang.

I wish all shows/showrunners had the courtesy to do this. I would even settle for a written wrap up! It would make me much more likely to watch a show without waiting to see if it was going to be cancelled.

2018 This clearly was not planned from the jump. The backlash from the Netflix userbase community is the cause of this 2 hours finale which is good and bad. I wish the series concluded on it's own terms and not have to deal with community backlash just to get this happening.

Never got into this one but I am glad to hear this! Glad Netflix is willing to give its cancelled series a chance to wrap things up for fans!

The show was pretty good and it's a pity it got cancelled. However, I am happy that Netflix gives the fans a proper ending. This is what should happen to every show that gets cancelled in my opinion.
