The family crime drama will return in 2018.

TNT announced today that Animal Kingdom has been renewed for a third season. The good news comes midway through the drama's sophomore run, where it has continued to grow its fanbase while ranking as one of the Top 10 returning dramas on basic cable in the adults 18-49 demographic.
The series follows a teenager who moves in with his tough, rule-breaking relatives in Southern California after his mom dies from a heroin overdose. When the family wants to bring him into the fold, he is not necessarily ready for the trouble that comes along with it.
Look for Season 3 of Animal Kingdom in 2018.

I'm glad for those who enjoy this show which seems to be most based on the previous comments, but I just couldn't get into this show.

Excellent news!! I really do love this show and am thrilled to hear it's coming back for a third season. May there by many, many more. Anti-heroes rule!!
