Freeform Renews 'Famous In Love'

The drama will return for Season 2.

Freeform had some good news today for fans of the new Bella Thorne drama Famous in Love. During a Facebook Live event with the cast, it was announced that the freshman series will be returning for a second season.

Based on the novel of the same name by Rebecca Serle, Famous in Love stars Thorne as college student Paige Townsen, who gets her big break after auditioning for the lead role in a big-name Hollywood blockbuster. With big changes on the horizon, Paige must now navigate her new life in the spotlight while managing the undeniable chemistry with her two co-leads.

The series was developed in-part by I. Marlene King, who previously worked on the successful Pretty Little Liars series which ran for seven seasons. As it has started to do recently with new shows, Freeform released the entire first season for streaming on its digital platforms to coincide with its April TV premiere.

Look for Season 2 of Famous in Love in 2018.

I'm pretty surprised to hear this. Didn't really watch it but glad to see freeform isn't cancelling yet another show after one season

I like this show though it feels a little slow. It seems it would attract the exact same audience as E' s The Arrangement which I definitely prefer. Both are cute with likeable casts for the most part.
