August 10, 2017
Fox announced today that the 2017 revival of Love Connection has been renewed for a second season. The good news reflects the show's solid summer performance in its freshman season, which has improved the network's time slot ratings by 10 percent. Its Thursday night companion Beat Shazam was renewed as well last month.
Hosted by Andy Cohen, who will return for Season 2, the hour-long dating series features single men and women looking for love. After being are sent out on three blind dates, the singles are brought in front of a live studio audience where they dish all the details about their experiences.
Look for Season 2 of Love Connection in 2018.

I like Andy but the show is a complete failure as far as making "love connections". Every "couple" the show has put together so far has failed. Only the two women were still together as of the follow-up at the end of each show.

Was enjoying the series until that poor carpet cleaning guy was supposed to pay the dinner bill, and it was $200. I just didn't believe a legitimate show would put a person in the embarrassing position of not having enough money to pay the bill for a dinner date the show set up. I mean, all the dates I saw were in that same restaurant.
This made me suspicious of the producers and I started thinking maybe they were using actors.
Most reality shows, now days, do behind-the-scene manipulations of their narratives they don't want their viewers to know about, so I just stopped watching.

It was "campy" in the 80s.. even for the 80s... the reboot is pretty horrid and missing the "campy" vibe. Surprised it got renewed. I think the new version is pretty horrid.
