The drama will end its run early next year.

TNT announced today that Major Crimes will be coming to an end after its upcoming sixth season. The spin-off series will be concluding a successful run of over 100 episodes as one of the cable network's strongest entries. Its most-recent season was watched by an average of 7.7 million viewers across linear, digital, and VOD platforms.
Major Crimes got its start in 2012 as a spin-off of The Closer. In five-plus years on the air, the series has done an impressive job as its successor, drawing consistently-strong viewership that ranks it as one of the most-watched shows on cable TV among total viewers as well in key demographics.
The sixth and final season of Major Crimes premieres on October 31 at 9:00pm for a 13-episode run that will conclude with a 2-hour series finale on January 16, 2018.

All good things come to an end. I loved this show, loved the characters. Especially Flynn and Provenza. They should get their own spin-off.

I am done with TNT after Major Crimes goes off the air. Nothing of any intelligence

Shocked this didn't happen sooner. This was painfully bad. Seriously painful to watch.

Sad to see this one go, but at least we can expect a proper finale, something quite uncommon these days.

If this is the networks strongest or one of the strongest shows, then why bring it to an end? The Closer was by far one of my favorite shows, and was so happy when the majority of the cast continued on in this spinoff! I will be sad to see it go, but thankfully TNT is doing right by its viewers and the show, by allowing for a planned and proper send off!

If this show were inconsistent in it's airings, it would have been better. Between this and Rizzoli & isles, there's nothing left for me at TNT.
