Word is out that USA Network has cancelled Playing House after three seasons. Show creators Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair both posted a video on their Twitter accounts, breaking the sad news to their fans.

Written by and starring the longtime comic duo, the comedy is partially-based on their real-life friendship and follows two single best friends supporting each other through their ups and downs. The series had a decent run on the cable network, establishing a loyal fanbase but never really breaking out in the ratings department.

The end of Playing House marks the end of scripted comedy on USA Network - at least for now. The show was the last remaining original comedy in the cabler's lineup, as its recent focus has leaned more towards dramatic series.

As for Parham and St. Clair, Playing House wasn't their first original TV comedy together and it likely won't be their last, as in their posted video the women confirmed they are already thinking of ideas for future projects.
