The new drama did not receive any extra episodes.

NBC released its mid-season schedule today and it's not good news for The Brave. The freshman military drama is nowhere to be found in the line-up, meaning the network did not order any additional episodes for the show's first season.
The hour-long series premiered in September and through eight episodes has been a decent performer in the 10:00pm time slot on Monday nights, though it regularly gets beaten by a substantial margin by The Good Doctor, which brings in roughly double the viewers, both overall and in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
The Brave takes place in the world of America's elite undercover military operations. In D.C., a team of analysts utilize highly-advanced surveillance technology from their headquarters, while out in the field a Special Ops squad of expertly-trained undercover specialists risk it all as they execute dangerous missions behind enemy lines in the name of freedom and saving the lives of innocent people.
What today's news means for now is that Season 1 of The Brave will end after its initial order of 13 episodes is up, with a final decision on a second season to come at a later date. As history goes, however, Season 2 does not appear likely at this point.
Taking The Brave's time slot in the New Year will be new crime drama Good Girls, which premieres on February 26.

This is an excellent show. Tonight's episode was an "edge of your chair" episode. I hope the show stays on the air. I think it is one of the best new shows of the season. This is much better than SWAT and Seal Team

The Brave far outweighs SEAL Team, Valor and S.W.A.T. for quality. It's not hokey, over-acted or over-dramatic. The actors seem authentic. I hope it gets renewed but it seems that the quality gets outstripped by guys taking their shirts off and cliche writing.

Love this show! First show in a long time that makes me impatient waiting for the next episode! Don't cancel this one please!

Hopefully this is just a matter of it being too expensive to produce more episodes, so they are keeping it to 13 episode seasons or something.

Come on NBC this is one of the best shows on your network! Give it time for word of mouth to the show out there!

I watch a lot of TV and The Brave quickly became one of my favourites! I also watch Seal Team, but in my opinion The Brave is much better. I tried SWAT, but wasn't a fan of that one at all. Really hope to see The Brave come back in the new year, whether it's on a different night, or a different network - it's too good of a show to lose after half a season!

The Brave is the best new show on TV and look forward to it each week...the writing, story lines and acting is much better than SEAL Team....if it was for David Boreanaz, SEAL Team would get canned...save the Brave!

Of course they are gonna keep Seal team over The Brave. Main reason in my opinion is David Boreanaz.
I also prefer The Brave, but i doubt Anne Heche is a big enough name to keep it on.
Maybe try and move the show to another day and time?

We watch Seal Team, The Brave, S.W.A.T. and enjoy all 3 !! All should be renewed for years to come and get rid of all the reality crap !!
