The new drama did not receive any extra episodes.
November 16, 2017
NBC released its mid-season schedule today and it's not good news for The Brave. The freshman military drama is nowhere to be found in the line-up, meaning the network did not order any additional episodes for the show's first season.
The hour-long series premiered in September and through eight episodes has been a decent performer in the 10:00pm time slot on Monday nights, though it regularly gets beaten by a substantial margin by The Good Doctor, which brings in roughly double the viewers, both overall and in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
The Brave takes place in the world of America's elite undercover military operations. In D.C., a team of analysts utilize highly-advanced surveillance technology from their headquarters, while out in the field a Special Ops squad of expertly-trained undercover specialists risk it all as they execute dangerous missions behind enemy lines in the name of freedom and saving the lives of innocent people.
What today's news means for now is that Season 1 of The Brave will end after its initial order of 13 episodes is up, with a final decision on a second season to come at a later date. As history goes, however, Season 2 does not appear likely at this point.
Taking The Brave's time slot in the New Year will be new crime drama Good Girls, which premieres on February 26.

The Brave is much better than Seal Team. Neither is truly great tv however. Just pandering to the violence mongers.

I also do like this show better than Seal Team. I'm surprised it didn't get an extension and that the second season is already questionned. I sincerely hope it gets another season.

I love the show and I agree with "M". I also feel all of the reality shows are not worth watching. Also there are so many good shows on I have my DVR going all the time and watch on the weekends when the shows aren't as good. Leave the Brave on, maybe change the day or time...but keep it on the air.....

I think it's a good show and even Anne Heche , who I never really cared for in other shows, does a great job... Hope they renew it.. It's certainly not your run of the mill military drama, like that it's different.....

I must say this is a far better show than Seal Team, I find this to be more realistic, the stories being more intelligence lead than just pure action, where Seal Team seems to be more action lead.
I do find that Seal Team, is just The Unit reworked

I agree with other posters here - I think The Brave is the best of the new military action shows that came on this year. I watch The Brave, SEAL team and Valor and by far the Brave is the most captivating for me. I will miss this show from my lineup.

This is a wonderful show and should stay on the air. It's far better than the competing Good Doctor which is really boring and limited with nowhere to go and in a competing time slot. I do have to say that comparing this to SEAL Team isn't fair as they're on different days, different networks and follow different types of teams. Both The Brave and SEAL Team are wonderful shows that deserve to stay on the air. Why does everything good have to be cancelled without even giving it a chance while stupid stuff like the Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor and all those competition shows that have no point stay on forever and take up huge chunks of time slots (2 hours 2 days a week? WAY too much!)?

@Kim - ditto
I was surprised by how much I prefer The Brave. I am a David Boreanaz fan, but that doesn't automatically mean I like his show better.
.
? Do time slots really matter? Does anyone watch live tv? I just set my Tivo, and let it find my shows so it doesn't really matter when they air.
