The comedy will not be back for a second season.

It is being reported that Amazon trimmed down its comedy lineup today, with one of the affected shows being I Love Dick, which was cancelled after one season. There had been a lack of news regarding the show's future since the release of its first season last May.
Co-created by Transparent creator Jill Soloway, I Love Dick follows struggling married couple Chris and Sylvere, who have recently moved to the academic community of Marfa, Texas. It's not long after their arrival that Chris becomes taken with Sylvere's charismatic fellowship sponsor, Dick. This infatuation affects her attitude towards marriage, launching the couple into an unusual fantasy that has a lasting effect on their lives.
The show received fairly positive reviews from viewers and critics, even picking up a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Actor category for Kevin Bacon's leading role. But a strategy shift is said to be one of the driving forces behind the cancellation, with Amazon moving to focus on larger-scale dramas that appeal to a wider range of audiences going forward.

Are there women out there named "Pussy"? Dick is a legitimate name, shame some immature people channel Beavis & Butthead when hearing it. Although I DO absolutely think the producers meant to play on that aspect. The show was okay.. and it WAS rather adult oriented. So the double entendre of the title was fitting. Not a whole lot of comedy though.

Well I guess one of the characters learned to love Mr. Dick. The title was horrible though as it made it seem pornographic. It was a clever turn on the bi theme though, but viewers were scared off.
