No Season 2 for the streaming drama.
April 18, 2018
Netflix confirmed today that Seven Seconds will not be returning for a second season. The crime drama premiered earlier this year with 10 episodes that were well-received by critics but likely didn't generate the audience response the streaming service was hoping for.
Created by Veena Sud, best known for developing The Killing, the series was meant to be anthological in nature. Its one and now-only season followed the aftermath of the death of a 15-year-old African American boy in Jersey City, and how his distraught family faces not only indifference, but a police cover-up as they search for the truth about what really happened.

This was an excellent show! Really hoped for another season. The acting was stellar in Regina King & Russell Hornsby. Reminded me a lot of American Crime.
Was really looking forward to another season and storyline.

My mom watched this show. She'll be disappointed that it was renewed.
