The freshman comedy will return for Season 2.

ABC announced today that Splitting Up Together has been renewed for a second season. The pickup makes it the network's only new comedy to return for the 2018-2019 season.
The show has gotten off to a solid start since its March premiere, airing in the 9:30pm time slot on Tuesday nights after Black-ish, which was also renewed today. While reviews have been mixed, ratings have been healthy through its first six episodes.
Splitting Up Together follows Martin and Lena, a couple once in love and happily married. But as time wore on they drifted apart, eventually divorcing but keeping their house to co-parent their three kids. But as Lena starts dating, Martin realizes the part he played in their failed marriage and starts making an effort to atone for his missteps.

I like the premise for the show, specifically the living arrangement twist. I plead guilty to enjoying Jenna Fischer's curves and Monica Barbaro's very pretty face, but I have also enjoyed Oliver Hudson in almost everything of his that I have seen. He has great comedy timing. I was extremely happy to see the show renewed but surprised; almost everything I like gets cancelled.

I tried to watch this show once, and fell asleep.

Why.. easy.. Jenna Fischer showing cleavage which she really hasn't done on television before. That's why. Note every show starts with her.. showing her butt.. showing her working out... they know full well what they are doing.

But how? Everything watchable is getting canceled this year, and somehow this horrid show gets renewed?
