It is being reported that CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait after two seasons. Andy Fickman, an executive producer on the show, broke the news with a post to his Instagram account, thanking his cast, crew, and writers.

The comedy starred Kevin James in his first leading role on television since his nine-year stint on The King of Queens. He played a recently-retired police officer looking forward to having more free time to spend with his family and friends. But when his oldest daughter decides to drop out of college, Kevin puts his plans on hold and moves her and her fiancé into his home so that she can stay in school.

The half-hour series was a decent performer on Monday nights, though ratings slipped during its sophomore run after the show replaced original cast member Erinn Hayes, who played Kevin's wife, with Leah Remini, who previously co-starred with James on The King of Queens.

The show's final episode, now its series finale, aired just last week.
