The Conners will debut on ABC with no involvement from Roseanne Barr.
June 25, 2018
Less than a month after cancelling the Roseanne revival, ABC has confirmed that a spin-off featuring the rest of the cast will take its place this fall in the 8:00pm Tuesday time slot. The move had been expected for some time, as the network was looking for a way to continue the success of the Roseanne comeback, which impressively became the top comedy on television.
Expected to be called The Conners, the new series will take place following "a sudden turn of events" that will explain the removal of Roseanne from the show. The rest of the family will continue to tackle daily working-class life in Lanford - only in a completely new way.
Expect the feel of the new show to remain mostly the same, as the existing writing and producing team will also transition over to The Conners. ABC has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which is down from the 13 episodes ordered for Season 2 of Roseanne. Look for the premiere later this year.

Had she had said something about the First Family she would still be on air and Loved by the Snot Nose Libs

The hypocrisy of Hollywood is at record levels. A conservative says something like Roseanne did (I don't condone what she said) and she's gone but liberals doing the same thing get celebrated (see Samantha Bee). I will not watch this spinoff and avoid ABC and NBC as much as I can.

WHY?
Please if they focus on Darlene's character I'm going to throw-up
Let the show just die at this point!

I had very little desire to watch it before. I'm not a fan of Barr, but she made that show. The rest of the cast, except for Goodman, are annoying. I don't see myself watching it.

They need to just let this show die. Keep past shows in the past and stop mining nostalgia for money and ratings.
The original show wasn't as good as everyone remembers, anyway.

I never really liked the Roseanne character. I only watched the original for Dan and Jackie so I'll give this one a shot. Hopefully the focus is on them a bit more than the kids.

ABC Is Lying about Roseanne Barr having no involvement with the show. She is the executive producer of the spin-off.Because they know they CAN'T do it without her.

I think they should replace Roseanne with Danny DeVito and never acknowledge it on the show.
Seriously, politics aside, I've always found Roseanne to be shrill and irritating. I love the rest of the cast and am curious to see what they can do. And seriously, if you've got a sitcom, you could do WAY worse than having John Goodman as a lead. He's an amazing actor and I think he carry the show forward.
