Amazon plans to give the series a proper conclusion.
July 28, 2018
Amazon confirmed today that Transparent will still be returning for a fifth season, and that it will be its last. It has been nearly one year since the dramedy was originally picked up for Season 5, but there was doubt about its future after star Jeffrey Tambor left the series in February following allegations of on-set sexual harassment.
The series had been one of Amazon Studios' strongest original entries until the controversy hit, garnering plenty of critical acclaim throughout its run while picking up numerous awards including eight Emmys and two Golden Globes.
With its lead gone, a way forward for the show was not clear. And while details on just what Season 5 will look like are still unknown, today Amazon assured fans that they will indeed get some long-awaited closure. As for when to expect a return, it appears that it will be 2019 at the earliest.

He only made comments and unwanted advances to transexuals, who have had surgeries to be very womenlike. And live lives as women as much as is possible. He did not bother women or transvestites which are men who dress as women.
I'd be nihilistic if it mattered

was Tambor harassing only ladies dressed as men??

Amazing show. Sad that it’s going to conclude but no sense in dragging it out now that Tambor is gone. Hope it ends on a high note.

Well , the me too movement killed another show. Not that that the movement is wrong. It's just that there's no gradiation of what people did anymore. tambor never touched those transexuals did he? Did he not apologize? He was wrong and such but is it all or nothing?

I loved this show. I was disheartened to hear about all the allegations etc. I think Jeffrey Tambor did an amazing job. Glad to know they will end it properly. It will be interesting to see what season 5 looks like.
