The revived game show will return next summer.
August 7, 2018
ABC announced today that To Tell The Truth has been renewed for a fourth season. The pickup will keep the revived series in the network's summer lineup of game shows for at least another year.
Hosted by Anthony Anderson, the latest incarnation of To Tell The Truth premiered in 2016 for a short six-episode run that ended up performing well for the network. In its current third season, the show was given a time slot alongside other revived game shows Celebrity Family Feud and The $100,000 Pyramid, which were also renewed today for the 2018-2019 season.

Good series, however have better celebrity panelists. Where's Betty White?

Some contestants are good and ask well thought out questions. Ashley Graham stands out in my mind as one that asked intelligent questions. I wish I could remember more names as there were certainly others.
Unfortunately those are few and far between. Most contestants waste time trying to be funny and never get anything helpful out of their mouth. Sadly, we now watch the 1st few minutes to see if the episode will fall in the 1st category or 2nd. Frequently that is when I push "delete."
I do find the "before you go" segment interesting. I wish I knew if that was on earlier versions of the show.
I'm sure it is cheap to make and fills time so it will continue to be renewed. Maybe if they gave some $ to a charity of the contestant's choice, they would try a little harder...
