The game show revival will return next summer.
November 20, 2019
ABC will be keeping its summer 'Fun & Games' lineup of game shows around for another year. The network announced today that To Tell The Truth has been picked up for a fifth season.
Hosted by Anthony Anderson, the latest incarnation of the game show premiered in 2016 for a short six-episode run that ended up performing well for the network. Since then the series has aired alongside other revived game shows, which has helped ABC win the summer months among key demographics.
Companion game shows Celebrity Family Feud, Match Game, Card Sharks, Press Your Luck, and The $100,000 Pyramid were also renewed today, keeping ABC's entire game show lineup in tact for next year.

While this version does not have all of what made previous versions of this show great, it is still enjoyable to watch. Good to see it being brought back.

I watched a lot of one episode in season 1 and I thought it was awful - awful like what the majority of what the belowest common denomination seems to like. So I can’t be too surprised by the renewals. The original TTTT was very good in its day prompting me to make the mistake of watching its in-no-way a successor. Or do I have this all wrong by judging after only watching only a tiny bit?
