The variety series will not return for Season 2.
August 17, 2018
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled The Break with Michelle Wolf after just one season. The new series, which aired 10 episodes released on a weekly basis, was one of the streaming service's most-recent efforts to break into the comedic talk / variety show segment.
The show's May premiere came not long after star Michelle Wolf made headlines with her controversial speech at this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner. But despite the current buzz around the comedian, word is viewership did not meet expectations, resulting in today's cancellation.
The Break with Michelle Wolf is a topical series that blended sketches with live comedy and in-studio guests. The titular comedian unapologetically took aim at just about everything and everyone, with no subject off limits.
I'd be nihilistic if it mattered

I made absolutely no comment in judgement of anyone else. I posted a statement. If you can't tell the difference, well... then that may be the problem. I don't find her terribly funny... I find her voice a clear indicator she need to remain a writer. I don't agree with much of what she states in her comedy.. but I also would never call her a "POS" because I disagree with her. She's HIRED to write jokes and at the White House Correspondents Dinner that's exactly what she did. Then the people that hired her didn't like her jokes. So fine, don't hire her again. But really making a mountain out of ever little molehill doesn't help anyone. This country is going to shit due to the polar opposite of (gawdawful) Political Correctness -- complete intolerance. The pendulum has swung too far in the opposite direction. Hopefully at some point it swings back closer to center somewhere so that people are lambasted for "micro aggressions" and also aren't called a "POS" because they actually have an opinion which differs. I know.. it's all falling on deaf ears here... oh well. You all can tear each other apart.....

Carrot top has been around a long time. Did he really think his show would last going under a pseudonym?

She did some not so nice things , but so does some of her opponents , However she went over the line evidently and that certainly didn't help her ratings.

Never saw the show, but most of you people are POS. Just so you know. If you didn't think you were now you know you are.
I'd be nihilistic if it mattered too

I'd be nihilistic if it mattered, your judgment of people isn't divisive?

The only thing I know about Michelle Wolfe is that she spoke at some type of political event that I didn't see ,and that she was a writer on some cable shows that I've never watched

Her comedy is making fun of other people so I'm glad this POS got cancelled.

This country is so sad any more... calling people a "POS" merely because they have a different opinion. *sigh* The division being fostered by many is really unpleasant. Just because someone likes chocolate ice cream and you like strawberry.. that's no reason to call the other person a "POS".

So it seems that alienating more than 50% of the audience is bad for business. Imagine that...
