No Season 2 for the weekly talk show.
August 17, 2018
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale after its first season. The new series was one of the streaming service's efforts this year to break into the comedic talk / variety show segment. Fellow newbie The Break with Michelle Wolf was also axed today.
The Joel McHale Show premiered in February, starting out in a weekly format rather than the typical Netflix style of full-season releases on a single date. Its half-hour episodes took a fast and funny look at the current state of pop culture and world news. Features included comedy sketches, celebrity guests, and clips of interest from topics such as politics, and sport, and celebrity.
The show took a break after its first 13 episodes, and Netflix changed things up when it returned in July by releasing its remaining six episodes all at once, with that final batch now being the last the series would air.

Too bad. I really enjoyed the show and was hoping for several seasons.

Damn I loved this one, very funny. I loved hearing about random unintentionally funny stuff on shows I don't know.

Why was he doing the Soup again in the first place?

I adore Joel McHale. So I can't help but feel for the guy. Dude cannot catch a break. I miss The Soup so much and I was so happy to see something like it happen again. Seriously disappointed.
